09 Jul Practically every week there is a clip graphically depicting the woes of indigenous people of Kerala right from wayanad, attapay, amboori etc. it is a shame that even after three gens of independence and after spending three thousand crores through the babus of various stripes and categories it is still sad. The oscillating right and left govts of Kerala did not make an opportunity to the people of indigenous populations. The Bengali workers and bangladeshis make good money when they travelled over to Kerala. If the NGO s and gos focusly tried these communities would have achieved a good life by working in the plains and midlands where other Indians are gainfully engaged. It is time to reformat the welfare measures. The housing for the indigenous people are in appalling state. Tata housing like agencies must be entrusted with this job and not any agency in the state. Some tangible action is emergent in the state in this sector. The babus have reached the conclusion that these indigenous people could never be uplifted. They are like the black Americans in india.
