In fact after my noting on using brains to select the tree species for planting on street side or in parks or in school compounds, one person expressed the view that the social forestry program implemented iun the public or semi public lands in the state need to be selecting the species carefully. I would add that the planted trees andf their site also need to be documneted so that the time frame for felling these for public safety can be monitored. I am asking for the moon. But it happens in many developed countries of teh world. Then, we also need to write to those Plus hundred thousand rupee salaried babus to take up such matter seriously and with urgency.The lives lost due to tree throw or road mishap of many kinds are very precious possession for the families concerned. For the rest it is a statistic.
