Sri Vijayananda Samikal, my Ampotti, served the people of Travancore state from his ashramam or hermitage in Nalkalikal, 2.0 km south of Aranmula. Sami went into Mahasamadhi in April, 1960. A siva temple with a sivalinga prathishta now marks the spot where the mortal remains of Samiji was buried in samadhi. This temple overlooks the Aranmula-Kidanganur road. What you will see now is a picture tour to the life of swami.
