25 May What happened to politicos in those lands of the republic.
The news of nearly four hundred boys traveling to Kozhikod from Bihar to join the orphanages, need to open up the eyes of public and gov.
Firstly the kind of penury the children were in whe they were with the families in their homes in Bihar or Bengal.
Secondly the skew in the development of those regions with the rest of india.
Thirdly this also reveals the better life the keralites enjoy. The latter is primarily the out come of the massive exodus of people from malabar to the Persian gulf that opened up from mid seventies.
The face of malabar, its people and the city scape every thing was transformed for good after the remittance began from Persian expats.
The eastern india was spared anyway, spared of opportunity as well as remittances. Then we got the governments by reactionary minds. All led to near abject poverty that the children became disposable for families and a burden to parents. Indeed a sad situation.
