We keralites are in a piquant situation in respect of Mullaperiyar dam. Now tn started lowering the shutters to raise the level to the magic 142 ft. The justice kt Thomas is a keralites but did not agree with any of the arguments including that of two iit s regarding the safety of the dam. Both iit s checked only the flood water wave causing the damages and not about the safety of the dam. The seismic it’s at 3.0 richter also did not hold any water. However, with the hype about failure and damages upto ernakulam turned out to be fiction in the apex court. We are in face the smartest in the world to generate a hype dharma, hartal and bands. Only such things can convince the Kerala populace. Never science or technology. Every thing is founded on politics in Kerala. So now we are made to eat dirt by the apex court. This dam will stay there for another several generations. But the politics of dam will be a great card to play during elections. Politicians need to live comfortably so they make the people to buy hype. The solution is perhaps the only solution is to make the courts declare the contacts signed by maharaja with another party void like the Padmanabha temple wealth, where raja got a blunt no on the rights by the same apex court. If it is not done then tn will hold a enclave in Kerala as far as the water rights go. Buth then tn exports every day millions of lits of virtual water to Kerala. Do not side line it too. Finally it boils down to a rivalry among the siblings. Here all are right and or wrong.
