Kasturirangan report is now the newest slogan to attract votes. No one needs the ghats and its ecology for the posterity. If care is not exercised, the west facing slopes will turn out in couple of centuries like the east facing slopes of the ghats and the plains. Choice is ours only. The politicians and thew laity now shouting loud for the people will all be gone when the “sunny ” days will descend on the western slopes of the ghats challenging the beauty of the plains beyond the eastfacing slopes of the ghats.
