In a scientific American blog, one interesting report talks of solar SPB panels being put on the roof of White House sufficient to generate power to run the presidential mansion at Washington, D.C. It is symbolic on the one hand and commitment as a nation on the other to get away from the conventional energy sources. I wonder how many presidents and guv and minsters in india would have emulated this model after the PMOs mission statement on alternative energy for the nation.
We are talkers and no doers. In fact solar thermal decorated the roof of whitehouse right from the days of carter in 1979, but regan got rid of it to languish in a warehouse,but finally it went to a college roof top in the state of Maine.
