Teris of Tamil Nadu including those at Muttom, Kanyakumari Dist have a climatic signature, which is more humid than what is experienced today. The Muttom Teris display large scale gullying, and hence qualifies as a splendid example of Badlands. Badlands are also seen in Chambal and Visakhapatnam
