The Mud banks off Kerala first reported by Bristo (the Founder of Cochin Port) is a unique feature anywhere in the world. Appearence soon after the onset of SW monsoon in the Arabian sea makes it an excellent area for fisheries. The fury of erosive waves are also neutralised by the presence of mudbanks.
