Ponds of variable sizes are a decentralised and common heritage and water harvesting, storage and supply system engineered by the citizens of the non-technological yester-centuries. The advent of centralized water handling and distribution technologies, gradually sidelined the ponds forcing them to near extinction and occassional transformations. The need to revive the ponds is emphatically illustrated and argued in this presentation
